Accessibility Statement
What we have built in, what still falls short, and how to tell us when something does not work.
Our commitment
EDB Consulting exists to build cultures where difference becomes the engine of performance. A website that some people cannot use would contradict the work. We are committed to making this site usable by as many people as possible, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or are sensitive to motion.
The standard we build to
This site is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we have done
- Colour contrast. Every text and background pairing was checked against the AA threshold. Where a brand colour failed in one direction, a darker or lighter variant of the same colour is used instead of settling for a colour that cannot be read.
- Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, menu, and form field can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and a "Skip to content" link appears first for anyone tabbing through.
- Reduced motion. The fade and hover animations turn themselves off automatically for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.
- Structure. Pages use real headings in order, real lists, and labelled form fields, so a screen reader can present the page in a way that makes sense.
- Text. Body copy is set at 16 pixels with generous line spacing and lines capped at a readable length. Text resizes cleanly when you zoom.
- Responsive layout. The site works from a 320 pixel screen upward without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than imply the site is perfect.
- Photographs on this site carry descriptive alternative text, and the logo is marked as decorative where the company name already appears beside it in readable text. Any image added later without a description is a gap we intend to close.
- Typefaces load from a third-party service. If that service is slow or blocked, text falls back to a system font, which changes the appearance but keeps the page readable.
- This site has been tested by its builders rather than audited by an independent accessibility specialist. A formal audit is a reasonable next step.
Tell us if something does not work
If you hit a barrier on this site, we want to know. Email ericka.debruce@edbconsulting.org with the page address and a short description of what happened, including the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it.
We aim to acknowledge every message within five business days and to tell you what we can fix and when. If you need information from a page that is not working for you, ask and we will send it in another format.
Assessment
This statement reflects a self-assessment completed on August 19, 2026. It will be reviewed whenever the site changes substantially.
